Ellis: Family and Community Supporter

Richard was born and raised in Klamath Falls, Oregon. After high school, he attended the University of Oregon for a year prior to serving an LDS mission in South Korea. Upon his return from South Korea, he transferred to Brigham Young University and graduated with a B.S. in Business/Finance. Richard later returned to school and received an MBA from the University of Utah.

Richard met his wife, Joyce, while attending BYU. They are the proud parents of six boys. The family has lived in West Jordan for nearly 19 years. As a family, they have spent countless hours at baseball and soccer fields, basketball courts and swimming pools. Richard spent 14 years coaching youth baseball and basketball. He has also been active in Boy Scouts of America and church activities.

Richard has served in the Republican Party as a Precinct Chair and as a State Delegate.
