Thank you for taking a few minutes to visit my site today. My hope is that you will learn about me and about the role of State Treasurer. Most people can’t tell you the name of the State Treasurer, and I’m okay with that. It’s not an ego thing with me. More important is taking care of taxpayer money. If the job is done right, no one will notice.

I’ve spent a career developing the skills and gaining the experience necessary to be a State Treasurer. In fact, having been the state budget director and having worked in the State Treasurer’s office, I understand this job and state finances better than any candidate that could run for the office. Ed Alter, the State Treasurer for the past 28 years, has mentored me the past 11 years and endorses me for this position.

As you explore this website, I hope that you’ll begin to ask yourself, “What qualifications should the State Treasurer possess?” When it comes time to select a candidate, you’ll need to decide if you want a qualified and experienced treasurer, or someone looking to start a political career.
